Who we Are
“What good is it… if we claim to have faith but we have no deeds? Can such a faith save us? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him – “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed…” but does nothing about his physical needs…What good is it? Faith by itself – if not accompanied by action is dead. We are God’s friend if we obey and put actions to our faith.
So, what does God command us to do?
Look after the widows. Look after the orphans. Clothe the cold. Feed the hungry. Show lavish mercy. Be just like Jesus.
Keep the royal law found in scripture, “Love your neighbor as yourself”
If we do this, we are doing right.
God has given ‘Women’s Connection of the Western Ontario District’ a mandate to be the hands, feet and heart of Jesus to the broken, the lonely, the sick, the ignored and the helpless.
If we do this, our neighbors will see Jesus and never be the same.
If we do this, our towns will see Jesus and never be the same.
If we do this, we will do right.
Everything WC does is an expression of this holy mandate.
Our prayer is that every local woman’s group within our churches in the Western Ontario District will strive to make Jesus famous in whatever way that works for them. When you quilt, stitch the most beautiful quilt ever! When you pray, pray earnestly and constantly! When you give to missions, give lavishly! Study God's Word! Cry and laugh together! Support each other and function as The Body of Christ!
Our prayer is that every local woman’s group within our churches will join us at our “We are Christ Days” thus fulfilling God’s holy mandate for Women’s Connection. Our prayer is that lives will be transformed as they represent Jesus to the lonely, the confused, the broken, the bound and the lost. Our prayer is that each woman will live in such a way that every second is lived in the light of eternity and not one soul is lost!
